Description
When I…
Zara Babayan
The basis of the work was the experience of communication with a real boy Karen Avetisyan, who became the prototype of the main character Noah (Alexander). The story is told on behalf of the hero himself. It reveals the unusual inner world of the boy, with his perceptions of himself and the world around him, completely different from the perceptions of other people. With terms like “autism”, the world is trying to brush off the unusual way of thinking and the unique worldview of such people. Perhaps the story will prompt the reader to think about where the line lies between “health” and “disease”, “normal” and what ordinary consciousness considers a deviation from the norm.
